We are pleased to invite you to an insightful webinar organised by ESDN Oncology, that aims to delve into the fundamentals of folate metabolism and its significance in the context of cancer treatment. Folate, along with its synthetic variant folic acid, plays a crucial role as B-vitamins. However, the extent to which these vitamins, obtained from dietary sources or through supplements, influence treatment tolerance in cancer patients remains an area of uncertainty.
Join us as we present compelling data derived from a comprehensive systematic literature review on folate and folic acid in relation to chemotherapy-induced toxicities. These findings shed light on the intriguing and contrasting roles of folate derivatives in antifolate- versus fluoropyrimidine-induced toxicities.
