Organisation and Structure
The European Federation of the Associations of Dietitians was established in 1978 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Membership of the Federation is open to the National Associations of Dietitians of all member states of the Council of Europe.
Current members are:
Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
The General Meeting is made up of representatives of each of the member Associations.
The Federation is directed and represented by an Executive Committee. The president and the member Associations of the Executive Committee are elected at the General Meeting.
The General Meeting elects members as representative to the Council of Europe and contact to the World Health Organisation Regional Office for Europe.
The Federation has links with other organisations in the field of nutrition and dietetics and with other professionals.
